Overview

Without proper PPE, everyday tasks can result in preventable injuries to your eyes, face, head, hands, feet, and body. PPE Essentials shows you why it matters, and teaches you to identify hazards before choosing protection, not after. Learners practice the STOP, LOOK, PPE approach to match equipment to real workplace risks, inspect gear for hidden damage, and make safer decisions even under pressure. An interactive simulation is available for desktop, mobile, and VR headsets. Drawn from OSHA Standard: 1910.132, .133, .135, .136, 1926.95, .96, .100, .102, and industry best practices.

Objectives

On completion of this course the learner will be able to:

• Identify common hazards that can injure the eyes, face, head, body, hands, and feet during everyday tasks.
• Select the right PPE for the hazard and the body area you need to protect.
• Inspect PPE before each use for damage like cracks, tears, missing parts, or worn areas.
• Care for PPE by cleaning it as required, storing it correctly, and maintaining it as directed.
