Overview

A forklift can become dangerous when visibility is limited, loads shift, or basic operating rules are ignored. This Forklift Operator Awareness: The Basics course builds awareness of the everyday decisions that help prevent tip overs, struck-by incidents, and other common forklift hazards before they lead to serious injury. Learners explore how forklift design, movement, and surroundings affect safety on the job. An interactive simulation is available for desktop, mobile, and VR headsets. Drawn from OSHA Standards 1910.22, .176, .178, 1926.602, and industry best practices.
