Overview
Viruses are found everywhere in the natural environment and can be infectious, causing illness that can spread between people. This virus protection and prevention course looks at what a virus is, how to prevent a virus from spreading and actions to take should there be a viral outbreak.
Objectives
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- What a micro-organism is,
- How a virus spreads,
- The chain of infection,
- Who is at risk,
- Good personal and environmental hygiene,
- How to report an illness.
