Overview
The course describes the steps needed to apply an effective isolation, including lock out, tag out (LOTO) procedures. It uses case studies to highlight the hazards of failing to apply a comprehensive isolation process, including LOTO. It also outlines what needs to be done before returning equipment to normal operation.
Objectives
In this course you will learn to:
- Outline the isolation stages for powered equipment,
- including lock out, tag out (LOTO) procedures
- Identify things that can go wrong without a successful isolation process
- Recognise other steps required before starting work on powered equipment and when returning equipment to normal operations
