Overview

Working at heights requires awareness, planning, and the right protection systems. The Fall Protection course introduces common fall hazards and the systems used to prevent them, including guardrails, safety nets, and personal fall arrest systems. Learners develop the critical thinking and decision-making skills needed to recognize fall hazards and respond safely in real-world situations. The immersive simulation allows learners to identify fall protection risks in a virtual work environment and apply key safety concepts. An interactive simulation is available for desktop, mobile, and VR headsets. Drawn from OSHA Standard: 1910.28 - .30, .140, Subpart D, 1926.501 - .503, Subpart M, and industry best practices.

Objectives

On completion of this course the learner will be able to:

  • Identify when fall protection is required and select the appropriate system for guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems.
  • Inspect fall protection equipment before each use and recognize signs of damage or wear.
  • Apply personal safety guidelines including proper equipment use, anchorage selection, and fall response procedures.
