Overview
The way we sit at our workstations can have many impacts on health and wellbeing. It can lead to musculoskeletal disorders, problems with vision, aches and pains and fatigue. It may not always be an obvious root cause and make you what else is contributing to poor posture and health when it actually all stems from the way you are sitting. This course highlights the importance of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) and workstation safety and includes steps and actions that we can all take to improve our set up.
Objectives
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- Explain the importance of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment and set up
- Take steps to ensure correct workstation safety
- Recognise the health benefits of a good posture
- Identify how to maintain DSE safety and adjust your setup as required.
